A new MORA look across all four apps, and no more countdown screen when opening documents
The October 2 update gives MORA Doc, Sheet, Slide and PDF the complete MORA interface: a redesigned title bar with Search, AutoSave and the Quick Access Toolbar, a custom icon set for both light and dark modes, a File tab that works like any other ribbon tab, and matching contextual tabs for tables, images and drawings. Unlicensed computers no longer have to sit through a countdown screen. The release also brings a wave of improvements to Sheet and PDF, better Vietnamese spell checking, and nearly 1,900 revised interface translations.

GeneralNew MORA title bar
The title bar has been redrawn to the MORA design, with a command Search box in the center alongside the AutoSave switch and the Quick Access Toolbar. Windows can still be dragged into Windows 11 Snap Layouts.
GeneralFile is now a regular ribbon tab
The File tab now behaves like Home, Insert and the other ribbon tabs: file commands are laid out right on the ribbon, and opening the tab no longer covers the document you are working on.
GeneralCustom-designed MORA icon set
Ribbon icons are designed specifically for MORA, stay crisp at every size and come in light and dark variants. Disabled buttons in dark mode keep enough contrast to remain readable.
GeneralContextual tabs in the MORA style
The tabs that appear only when an object is selected (Table, Image, Draw, Object, Media, Form, Master Page, Outline, 3D, Print Preview) have been redesigned in the MORA style across all four apps: group labels are no longer cut off, icons match the size of those on the main tabs, and separators divide the groups.
LicensingNo more countdown screen when opening documents
Unlicensed computers keep full access to every feature without waiting through a countdown. Each time an app starts, a panel invites you to buy a license and shows current pricing; you can close it right away. After 90 days of use, the panel appears when you open a document and a reminder bar suggests purchasing a license, while documents can still be edited and saved as usual.
SheetCSV export with a UTF-8 byte order mark for Excel
The Export Text File (CSV) dialog has a new Include byte order mark (BOM) option, turned on by default when UTF-8 is selected. CSV files then open in Excel with Vietnamese and other accented characters displayed correctly instead of garbled text.

GeneralA ribbon that fits laptop screens
In narrow windows, such as on the 1366-pixel-wide screens common on laptops, the ribbon collapses less-used groups into buttons and the Styles gallery in Doc shows fewer items, so the main commands always stay on screen. Widen the window and the collapsed groups expand again.
GeneralShorter, consistent button labels
Ribbon labels are shorter and use the same wording across all four apps. Align Left and Align Right work as in Word on the Home and Table tabs, and Align and Arrange in Slide and PDF are menu buttons that are always available.
GeneralThe MORA interface from the very first frame
The first window you see is already the MORA interface; the old layout no longer flashes on screen before the ribbon appears.
GeneralSwitch between light and dark without restarting
The Light/Dark toggle applies immediately to every open window, with no more half-light, half-dark interfaces and no restart required.
GeneralNew defaults for font color, Quick Access Toolbar and status bar
Font Color now defaults to coral red and Highlight to light yellow (if you already picked other colors, your choice is kept). The Quick Access Toolbar gains a Print button. The status bar is cleaner, without Page Style, master page name, scale and Selection Mode. New user profiles hide the ruler and the Sidebar for a tidier workspace (turn them back on from the View tab); existing users keep their current setup.
SheetDrag row and column headers to select, as in Excel
Dragging across row or column headers now selects multiple rows or columns, as in Excel; hold Alt while dragging to move them instead. Moving never loses data: if any step cannot be completed, the entire move is undone and the reason is shown.
SheetFormulas recalculate when opening Excel files
Opening an .xlsx file recalculates its formulas just as Excel does, so figures always match the source data.
SheetCorrect Vietnamese number-to-words output
The function that spells out numbers in Vietnamese words now follows standard Vietnamese reading conventions, for example “một trăm linh năm” for 105, “một nghìn không trăm linh năm” for 1,005, “mười lăm nghìn” for 15,000 and “hai mươi lăm triệu” for 25,000,000, instead of the incorrect forms it produced before.
SheetSpreadsheet themes no longer break print settings
The Spreadsheet Theme dialog drops 11 themes that displayed incorrectly and keeps the 7 that work well. Applying a theme no longer resets the paper size, margins, headers or footers you have set.
PDFCtrl+S on a PDF asks how to save
Pressing Ctrl+S while editing a PDF now lets you choose Save PDF (overwrite it with the edited version) or Save as drawing (.odg), instead of silently switching to .odg.
SlideSlideshow navigation bar for touch screens
During a slideshow, a navigation bar (previous, next, and a menu that includes a pen) is available, making presentations easier on touch screens and interactive whiteboards.
GeneralRecent PDFs on the Start screen
The “Drawings / PDF” filter on the Start screen now also lists recently opened PDF files.
GeneralNearly 1,900 interface translations revised
Nearly 1,900 Vietnamese interface strings were corrected, fixing stray ~ characters, missing placeholders, inconsistent terminology and duplicate labels, and the spelling of common words was standardized.

The buttons for getting more extensions and checking for extension updates now point to the MORA extension repository.

PDFPDF export keeps each page's size; scanned PDFs are readable
PDFs that mix portrait and landscape pages keep each page's own size when exported again, instead of being cropped to the size of the first page. Scanned PDFs with an OCR text layer no longer show text overlapping the image.
GeneralNo more false red underlines in spell checking
Vietnamese text pasted from the web or PDFs, or typed with older input tools that store diacritics as separate combining characters, is now recognized correctly and no longer flagged as misspelled.
GeneralCorrect Vietnamese diacritics with Arial Narrow and Cambria
Documents set in Arial Narrow or Cambria display, print and export to PDF with correct Vietnamese diacritics, even when the original fonts are not installed.
GeneralAutomated PDF export no longer includes comments
Exporting to PDF through macros or scripts no longer adds the document's internal comments to the PDF unless you ask for them.
GeneralCheck for Updates buttons respond again
The Pause, Resume and Cancel buttons in the Check for Updates dialog respond to mouse clicks as expected.
SlideFewer unexpected closes when closing documents
Fixed several cases where the app closed unexpectedly while closing a document, especially MORA Slide presentations.
Installation and platform 2
WindowsUpgrades keep file associations
Upgrading no longer removes file associations for .docx, .xlsx and .pptx, and computers that already lost them have them restored when this version is installed. MORA Office registers Microsoft Office file types under its own name, so it does not take over associations from other office suites installed on the same computer.
WindowsAutomatic safe mode after startup problems
If the app exits unexpectedly twice in a row right after launch, MORA Office switches to a safe interface the next time it starts, shows a notice in the infobar, and offers a Re-enable button to restore the full interface.
