MoraKey 1.4.18: a Sentence case step when changing letter case, plus smoother shortcuts and CSV import
MoraKey 1.4.18 is a maintenance release that rolls up many user requests. The Ctrl+Shift+F3 change-case shortcut now includes a Sentence case step and no longer garbles text on the second press. The Shortcuts tab is cleaner and easier to read, adds a button to export your list to CSV, and reads CSV files saved in both UTF-16 and ANSI. The control panel is tidier. Computers already running MoraKey update automatically within an hour, with all settings and shortcut lists preserved.
New features 2
MoraKeyA Sentence case step when changing letter case
Select some text and press Ctrl+Shift+F3 to cycle the case: lowercase → UPPERCASE → Title Case → Sentence case → lowercase. Sentence case capitalizes the first letter of each sentence and leaves the rest as is — handy for fixing a paragraph typed with stray capitals.
MoraKeyExport your shortcut list to a CSV file
The Shortcuts tab now has an Export to CSV… button that saves all your abbreviations and their full text to a CSV file you can open in Excel or another spreadsheet — convenient for backups and for sharing with colleagues.
Improvements 3
MoraKeyA clearer, easier-to-read Shortcuts tab
The two columns are now labelled Abbreviation and Full text for clarity, and the item count uses thousands separators (for example 1,411 entries) so it stays readable even with a large list.
MoraKeyCSV import accepts more file types
Importing from CSV now reads files saved in both UTF-16 and ANSI encodings (as Excel and Notepad commonly save them), and skips the header row even when the header contains Vietnamese accents, so you rarely need to edit the file before importing.
MoraKeyA tidier control panel with the Ctrl+Shift shortcut
When you choose the Ctrl+Shift-only shortcut style, the control panel hides the extra-key field so it is not mistaken for requiring an additional key.
Fixes 3
MoraKeyPressing Ctrl+Shift+F3 a second time no longer garbles text
Previously, in Notepad and some applications, pressing change-case a second time could corrupt the text (for example “Hoa” became “ooa”). This release keeps the text correct across every change.
MoraKey“hnay” is no longer auto-changed to “nhay”
The typo-correction feature no longer alters strings the user deliberately types such as “hnay”, avoiding unwanted changes into a different word.
MoraKeyThe Context tab no longer leaks a technical string
The Context tab in the control panel sometimes showed a confusing technical string; it is now clean.
