O3O Office arrives on macOS for Apple silicon and Intel Macs
O3O Office is available on macOS for the first time, with two .dmg installers: one for Macs with Apple silicon and one for Intel-based Macs. The macOS version includes all four apps, O3O Doc, Sheet, Slide and PDF, with the Vietnamese interface and the same features and licensing as on Windows. The download page has a dedicated button for each type of Mac, along with tips on choosing the right one.
New features 4
macOSInstaller for Apple silicon Macs
A .dmg file (about 200 MB) for Macs with Apple silicon (M-series chips), available from the Download page at office.o3o.vn.
macOSInstaller for Intel Macs
A separate .dmg file (about 205 MB) for Intel-based Macs, so older Macs can run O3O Office too.
macOSO3O-branded icons on Mac
App and document icons on macOS (27 sets) are built from the O3O visual identity, so O3O documents look right in Finder and the Dock.
macOSO3O file type identifiers
Document types are registered with macOS under O3O’s own identifiers, helping the system pick the right app to open each file.
Improvements 3
LicensingMac activation tied to the hardware, not the computer name
On macOS, a license is bound to the Mac’s hardware identifier. Renaming your Mac doesn’t use up another activation.
macOSUpdate notifications on Mac
The update feed has separate entries for the Apple silicon and Intel builds, so Macs are notified of new versions just like Windows PCs.
GeneralClear download options for each operating system
The Download page offers three buttons, Windows, Mac with Apple silicon and Mac with Intel, each with its OS icon and chip type spelled out, plus instructions for checking which chip your Mac uses.
Installation and platform 1
macOSOpening for the first time on macOS
The first macOS release is not yet signed with Apple. The first time you open it, right-click (or Control-click) the app icon, choose Open and confirm; after that it opens normally.
